Additionally, I really enjoyed the lab for ECE 2008 (Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering II), which included many hands-on projects, including designing a heart rate monitor for our final project.

Why did you choose to come to Indianapolis?

Ultimately, I chose to come to Indianapolis after going on a campus tour. Our tour guide, who was a current student, shared his experiences in industry and research that he had gained through studying in Indianapolis. Hearing about his experiences convinced me that Purdue would provide me with opportunities to build my career readiness and develop strong connections with industry, which I have found to be true.

What has your experience been like getting an early connection to industry from being located in Indianapolis?

Being in Indianapolis gave me the chance to connect with Glassboard, a hardware product development company where I recently interned. Since freshman year, I have connected with them through career fairs, company tours and presentations. Because Purdue is located near its office in Indianapolis, I was even able to start my internship there part time during the Spring 2026 semester. This experience taught me how to apply what I was learning in college to real-world engineering work and helped me realize the importance of the classes I was taking.

What career field are you pursuing and why?

I am still exploring which specific career field within electrical engineering I would like to pursue. So far, I have really enjoyed product development at Glassboard, and I am now exploring reliability engineering at Lunar Energy, a clean energy product design and manufacturing company. I am particularly interested in sustainability and renewable energy, so I hope to incorporate these interests into my future career in some way. I am excited to continue exploring different areas of electrical engineering and discover where my interests and skills align best.

Are you part of any clubs or student activities? If so, which ones? Has that participation enhanced your college experience?

I currently serve in member outreach of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers club (IEEE) in Indianapolis. As part of the leadership team, I have improved club engagement and productivity by designing feedback surveys, organizing data in Excel, creating event posters and managing social media outreach. I have also organized and promoted a printed circuit board (PCB) design workshop, developed schematics and PCB layouts in Altium and KiCad, and presented them during the workshop.

Our club conducts both large and small-scale projects, and I have served both as a resource and as a collaborator on such projects. Being a part of this club has taught me the importance of teamwork, communication and taking initiative while also giving me the opportunity to apply and share the technical skills I have developed through my coursework and internship experiences.

Outside of school and work, what are some of the things you enjoy about being in Indianapolis?

I enjoy walking with friends and on my own around Indianapolis, especially along the canal or rivers that surround and pass through the city. I also like going climbing at North Mass Boulder — it’s nice that it’s so close by.

What are you studying at Purdue? I am studying electrical engineering (in the Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering). What have been your favorite classes so far? I have enjoyed ECE 27000 (Intro to Digital Systems Design),

[1

25
post-3638","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/e6259b36db7ecad92b7b63bc4ac0a79923ac4be74174d4ab7e26981a3e1ddba6?s=96&d=mm&r=g
["GET
