Scotty leads a portfolio focused on elevating student engagement, belonging and academic success. His work centers on scholarly identity development, academic proficiency, leadership preparation, and community engagement, ensuring students experience a clear, coherent path through the university. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f7f8167142c7ca78849040c42bc041b1 wp-block-paragraph\">A scholar-practitioner with a doctorate in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education from Michigan State University, and an M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Loyola University Chicago, Scotty builds initiatives that connect reflection, curiosity, academic communication and interdisciplinary learning with measurable outcomes. He is known for developing innovative programs that strengthen students\u2019 sense of purpose and prepare them for competitive opportunities at and beyond Purdue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5adcd4569d288528e8032401e7fc60cc wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Scotty\u2019s leadership emphasizes clarity, collaboration and follow-through.
