Purdue Memberships supported by IN-MaC

Purdue has a strong presence in the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation (NNMI) and is a university member in several of the individual nodes, known as Manufacturing Innovation Institutes (MIIs). MIIs are member based organizations focused on research with mid to near-term technical readiness levels (TRL 4-7). All MIIs require 100% cost share and a formal organizational membership. DMDII: Digital Manufacturing Digital Innovation

Sponsor/Lead Entity: Department of Defense/Creative Composites Solutions Corp (a wholly owned subsidiary of University of Tennessee Knoxville)

Purdue Lead: Nathan W. Hartman, Dauch Family Professor of Advanced Manufacturing and Director,
Product Lifecycle Management Center, Purdue Polytechnic Institute

Funding Opportunities: Announced from time to time by DMDII/UI Labs. 100% cost share required. Purdue and IN-MaC have a set aside for proposals that advance the IN-MaC Digital Enterprise vision. Cost share commitments are managed by Professor Hartman.

IACMI

IACMI: Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation

Sponsor/Lead Entity: Department of Energy/UI Labs (a Chicago-based research and commercialization collaborative)

Purdue Lead: R. Byron Pipes, John L. Bray Distinguished Professor of Engineering and Director, Composites Manufacturing Simulation Center Funding Opportunities: 100% matching required, partnership opportunities available for company focused projects. Indiana Economic Development Corporation has committed significant cost share for Indiana focused composites manufacturing projects that draw IACMI/DOE funds. The Indiana program is focused on simulation of composites manufacturing. All projects are coordinated by Professor Pipes.
