FLSA changes: Here’s what we know

The Department of Labor (DOL) has published final regulations updating the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) that raise the minimum salary for an employee to be designated as exempt (excluded from overtime requirements) from $23,660 per year to $47,476.

The new rules go into effect December 1, 2016.
