Reminder: Flu shots available to Purdue community via designated locations, flu shot events

As a reminder, employees and students on the West Lafayette campus have access to free flu vaccines again this year via designated locations and flu shot events. Regardless of location, individuals coming for a flu shot should bring their Purdue University ID (PUID) card or their Anthem medical plan ID card.

“The drive-thru flu shot clinics hosted by the Center for Healthy Living in September were a great success, and because of that, we are continuing the drive-thru option in October,” said Candace Shaffer, senior director of benefits in Human Resources. “It means a lot that we are able to allow our Purdue family this added convenience during flu season. We are excited to again be able to offer even more opportunities for members of the Purdue community to get their flu shots on campus into early November. These flu shot offerings come via a Purdue community effort to ensure our students, faculty, staff and their loved ones can get their flu shots easily and conveniently.

"There are two designated locations on the West Lafayette campus where individuals can go on their own schedule as well as numerous flu shot events at the Co-Rec and other locations on campus, providing even more flexibility to our population. We hope the increased availability to receive the flu vaccine will increase the number of individuals who get their flu shots this year, thus providing our Boilermaker family protection against the virus.”

Regional campuses also have flu shots available to serve their populations.
