Length of time at CHL?
I have been working at the CHL for just a year, but it already feels like home. During the summers I work at Smoothie King back home in Indianapolis.

What attracted you to your position at the CHL?
My older sister Ashley had also just started working here and everyone was kind enough to have flexible hours that could work around my classes.

Why do you like working at the CHL?
The Center for Healthy Living is an extremely warm and welcoming environment for employees and patients. Everyone is close and knows one another, and therefore every day at the CHL is a good day.

Philosophy of Care:
Since the CHL is only for Purdue families, you can get much more personal with patients. I see a lot of the same faces every week, and you can already take care of their needs before they walk through the door. Since I am a busy college student, I know what it’s like to have a hectic life, and trying to jump through a million hoops just to make an appointment or ask my doctor a question is really difficult. That is why I put other people’s availability and time first. It is important to me that every patient is able to easily make their appointments with someone friendly (even bright and early at 7 a.m.), and is in and out of the clinic as fast as they want to be.

What do you like to do when you’re not at the CHL
Outside of work and school, I love to snuggle with my new kitten Phineas, and binge watch “The Bachelor” with my boyfriend of two years. Ask me about cats or Arie and Becca, and I will be able to go on and on with you!

Fun fact about me:
Many people know this about me, but I was one of the biggest marching band nerds in high school; I lived and breathed band!
