protect yourself get a flu shot

Purdue University helps protect your child from the flu …
It’s time to get your child’s flu shot!

The Center for Healthy Living on Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus can help your child fight the flu. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone over the age of 6 months should get a flu vaccine every season.

The Center for Healthy Living will have pediatric flu vaccines on hand at the center during normal business hours (7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday). You don’t need an appointment, just walk in when it’s convenient, sign in, bring your PUID and get your child vaccinated. It’s really that simple. Patients under 2 years of age require two vaccines and will need to return to the CHL for the second dose as well.

Free, seasonal flu vaccines are only offered to dependents covered on benefits-eligible Purdue employees’ health plans. *

*The Center for Healthy Living will administer the Fluzone, pre-filled syringe, quadrivalent vaccine for pediatric patients 6 to 35 months of age.  See your provider if you need an alternative.
