Graduate Staff Benefits

Our goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible. No changes are being made to the drug formulary (what’s covered under your plan) as a result of the transition. The Purdue retail pharmacy network is also not changing and will remain a preferred pharmacy for students.

As for enhancements, we’ll be able to offer a dedicated pharmacy member services team, as well as a dedicated specialty pharmacy, both of which will be available 24/7. You’ll also have a fully integrated digital experience, so you can access your pharmacy benefits information, alongside your medical benefits information, through the health plan’s website and mobile app.

On or around May 2, you’ll receive a welcome letter introducing you to IngenioRx (a wholly owned subsidiary of Anthem, Inc.). Your current Anthem insurance card should continue to be used. Some individuals will receive a new Anthem card by the end of May with all of the information needed to process claims and access member services. You can download the Anthem Anywhere app for iOS or Android and view the online version of your card to verify that it’s correct.

If you use home delivery and/or specialty pharmacy medications, you‘ll be transitioned to IngenioRx pharmacies. On or around May 17, Anthem will send targeted letters to both members who use home delivery and who fill specialty medications through Accredo.

Anthem will reach out directly to those at Purdue who are impacted to check in on their care and help them with the move. This phone call will occur on or around May 31.

If you have a current prior authorization, it will remain in place.

If you have a problem filling a prescription after July 1, you can call member services, available 24/7, at 833-267-2133. This number is also on the back of your ID card.

WEST LAFAYETTE CAMPUS ONLY: Graduate staff employed 0.50 FTE/half time/20 hours per week or more and graduate students with fellowships administered as assistantships are eligible for the University-subsidized graduate staff medical insurance plan and other benefits listed on this page.

Enrollment in your benefits is a two-step process.  It is important to complete the steps below as changes cannot be made outside of your new hire/newly eligible 30-day window without a qualifying life event until the next open enrollment in 2019.   See the Resources section near the bottom of this page for enrollment guides to both steps.

  1. Medical Insurance (includes standalone vision plan with VSP)
  2. Dental and other Voluntary Benefits
    • To enroll, go to the OneCampus Portal and click the Benefitfocus link (shown below)
