UnitedHealthcare Graduate Student Staff 2017-2018 Medical Plan

The University offers eligible graduate staff the University-subsidized Graduate Staff Medical Plan. The health plan offering is administered by UnitedHealthcare. The plan year is August 1, 2017, through July 31, 2018, and provides continuous medical plan coverage, including the summer, as long as you are employed in an eligible position. Premium deductions are taken from your pay automatically via payroll deduction. 

The Graduate Staff Medical Plan is fully compliant with the “Individual Mandate” which requires you to have health insurance or pay a penalty when you file your taxes.  Learn more about the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

**For Graduate Student Staff who will be covering multiple dependents, the standard student plan is also available and may be a more cost-effective option. However, please note that there will be no University premium contribution applied for the student plan – students will pay the full cost below. For those who purchase the student plan, full payment must be made at the time of enrollment for a semester or entire year; no payroll deduction is available for this student plan. Additionally, no vision coverage is available for the student plan.
