The 16th Annual Gardening Show sponsored by Purdue University Cooperative Extension and its Porter County Master Gardeners will be held Saturday, Jan. 25th, 2020 at the newly renovated Porter County Expo Center, 215 E. Division Road, Valparaiso, IN, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST (Chicago time).

Our Award-winning event will feature nationally-known gardening experts including

  • Jo Ellen Myers Sharp, award-winning newspaper and magazine journalist, will be presenting “Annuals: A Lot of Color For the Coin”
  • Janet Macunovich, gardening author and presenter , will be presenting “Best Foot Forward: Ideas for Entrance Gardens” and “Plant it Well, Even When the Roots aren’t Right”
  • Todd Jacobson, head of landscape horticulture at Morton arboretum, will be presenting “Intriguing Woody Bones for the Perennial Border.”

Others will speak and demonstrate on many gardening topics.

We have one of the largest seed & bulb exchanges in the country, a garden photography contest, children’s activity corner, food service, and more than 100 exhibitors of products and services for and about gardens and gardening.

This year’s theme is “20/20 vision for your garden”. We will be collecting eyeglasses on behalf of Lions Club International, so please bring your gently used eyeglasses to donate.

Admission: $10 cash or check, children under 12 free; free parking, seed and bulb exchange tickets, and door prizes.
