This position may also contribute to other projects in the lab involving single cell <em>omics<\/em> and large language model-enabled functional genomics research. Plant scientists who are proficient in both molecular biology and bioinformatics are highly encouraged to apply. Plant molecular biologists with an appetite for <em>omics<\/em> and big-data analysis are welcome to apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:<\/strong>\u00a0PhD degree in genetics, genomics, biology, plant sciences or in any related field. The candidate should have at least four-year experience (wet lab and dry lab combined) related to plant molecular biology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Domain knowledge in plant functional genomics, gene regulation, epigenetics, and\/or specialized metabolism.<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience with next-generation sequencing analysis, including wet-lab and\/or dry-lab approaches, is highly valued.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in R, Python, and\/or Perl is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience with plant transformation and CRISPR-based genome editing.<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience working with proteins, such as immunoprecipitation or related techniques.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to apply:<\/strong> The position is available immediately.\u00a0Applications can be emailed to li2627@purdue.edu, including a one-page cover letter, CV with skills and previous education\/research experience, and the contacts of three references.
