The Lovett School has an immediate opening for an Athletic Fields Groundskeeper. This position is
primarily responsible for maintaining seven athletic fields by creating safe, high-quality playing
surfaces for baseball, football, lacrosse, soccer, and softball. The groundskeeper will prepare
fields for both practices and games; provide disease observation and identification; apply
fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides with both boom sprayer and spreaders; and
operate all necessary equipment pertaining to athletic field maintenance.
Applicants are expected to possess a two or four-year degree in Turfgrass or related field and/or
equivalent experience. The candidate is expected to have a minimum of two years of experience and
demonstrated knowledge in the areas of athletic field maintenance, including turf, skinned area,
pitcher’s mound, and homeplate. We seek candidates who are able to work weekends when required.
