The Diverse Corn Belt project held their annual meeting in Davenport, Iowa the week of May 30. HLA team members include Steve Hallett, Juliano Marques, Liz Maynard, Katharine Pivaral, Linda Prokopy, Aaron Thompson, Rebecca Traldi, Ariana Torres, Camila Ulloa, Emily Usher.
Department Head, Linda Prokopy, traveled to Auburn University the week of May 22 to meet with other Horticulture Department Heads. While there, she toured vertical container farms, a rooftop garden managed by the Horticulture department, and the beginnings of a Transformation Garden being established by the Horticulture department.
Dr. Petrus Langenhoven is now the sole Director of the Purdue Student Farm. After much consideration, Dr. Steve Hallett decided to shift his attention to other academic activities.
