Ashley Adair and northeast Indiana ANR Educators hosted the NE IN Organic Field Day at Northeast Purdue Ag Center. The event attracted 32 participants and featured equipment demonstrations, knowledge-building for beginner organic grain growers, an update on disease management in organic grain, and an introduction to Purdue organic field research funded by OREI.


The Purdue Fruit and Vegetable Field Day, held on June 20 at Meigs Farm, was a success. Liz Maynard, Becca Koetz (Purdue Extension Lake County), Petrus Langenhoven, and Ashley Adair were awarded a grant from the Mary S. Rice Foundation titled “Equipment for Small Acreage and Urban Vegetable Farms.” The grant will fund purchase of equipment for use at the Pinney Purdue Agricultural Center in intensively managed production systems.
