Undergraduate Research Pitch Competition

Our organization is hosting an Undergraduate Research Pitch Competition this March in collaboration with the Office of Undergraduate Research. Submissions are due by 2/28. We would greatly appreciate if you could share the following description, as well as the attached flyer, in any upcoming newsletters. Additionally, if you could please have the HHS Academic Advisors share this flyer with their students, that would be much appreciated.

Video submissions for the Undergraduate Research Pitch Competition, co-hosted by the Undergraduate Research Society and the Office of Undergraduate Research, are due by February 28. The pitch competition is open to any currently enrolled Purdue undergraduate involved in research or a creative endeavor in any major and discipline. Your work can be an independent project or one working with a research mentor. This is a great opportunity to share your research with a wider audience, as well as have the chance to win up to $400!

To enter, you'll upload a three-minute research pitch to YouTube by 2/28, and then the top ten submissions will be selected through a panel of judges and social media engagement to compete in the live competition on March 24. Visit for more details on how to enter, and please email with any questions.

Learn how to search and apply for undergraduate research opportunities at Purdue. This presentation will discuss the various types of research opportunities, how to find programs or potential mentors, and how to approach the application/email process. This is a repeat of the seminar in January. Register here.
