Health and Human Sciences Study Abroad Scholarship

College of Health and Human Sciences offers financial assistance to support HHS students for next year's programs. 

For 2020-2021 applications are put on hold due to travel restrictions and safety concerns.

There are options for study abroad scholarships and support listed below.

Charles V. and Audrey Palm Riker Fund for HDFS

This fund was established in recognition of the teaching and counseling career of Professor Charles V. Riker, who served the University from 1959 to 1983 as a professor in HDFS, and his spouse, Audrey Palm Riker, a clinical psychologist. HDFS students participating in a study abroad program that incorporates activities relating to children who are economically disadvantaged are eligible to apply for the Riker Fund scholarship.

Fred and Dorine Santogrossi Study Abroad Scholarship in Psychology

Presented each year to a Psychological Sciences major who participates in the Study Abroad Program to help defray costs of travel and expenses.

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship ProgramEmily King

Students from diverse ethnic backgrounds; students going to non-traditional countries; students participating in credit-bearing internships; students with disabilities; first-generation college students, or students participating in fields of study that are underrepresented in study abroad are encourage to apply. Only U.S. citizens who have a Pell Grant are eligible. Purdue’s National and International Scholarships Office (NISO) will help you apply for a Gilman Scholarship. The Office of Programs for Study Abroad Scholarships

Financial assistance is available through Purdue's Study Abroad Office. That office also includes a list of other funding for overseas study that may assist you in your search for extra funding.
