Sponsored Internship and Study Abroad in China
Application
Now accepting applicants for next class. Interviews begin in fall 2022 for departure in May 2023.
Students should talk with their academic advisor either before or as soon as the application form is submitted. On average, 12 internship positions are available each year. The first offer for the 2023 class is expected in early September 2022.
About the Program
This unique study abroad experience combines 12 credits of academic learning, professional training and an immersive cultural experience over a 6-month period (mid-May through November) at one of several five-star luxury hotels located in China.
This program is financially sponsored by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and other Purdue corporate partners. The corporate sponsorships pay for most of the program expenses including international airfare, room and board, stipends and other benefits.

Participants who successfully complete the program will earn 12 credit hours towards an HTM degree. Talk with your advisor for more details.
Estimated Program Fee: $8860 - $10,860 including tuition, international airfare, room and board, and stipends. Participants may be eligible for a Purdue University study abroad scholarship.
