HHS Study Abroad Leadership Award

The HHS Study Abroad Leadership Award recognizes a HHS faculty or staff member who demonstrates an outstanding leadership and innovation in promoting, developing, and implementing one or more study abroad programs for HHS students. Candidates may be nominated by any HHS faculty/staff members or students who have participated in a program led by the nominee. See past recipients.


HHS faculty and staff members who have led study abroad programs since the spring of previous academic year are eligible for being nominated.

Nomination Procedure

  • Candidates may be nominated by any faculty or staff member in the College of Health and Human Sciences or students who have participated in a program led by the nominee.
  • Nominations should be emailed to morrow23@purdue.edu. It should include the following:
    • A 200-word description of the nominee’s achievements in leading study abroad programs for the students in her or his department or school
    • If you are a student making the nomination, please include the program name and year in which you participated with the nominee
    • Nominator’s contact information
  • The nominations deadline for the current academic year is March 1st and the award will be announced and presented at the spring faculty meeting.


The awardee will receive a certificate and $1,000 (before taxes).

Selection Committee

The selection committee will be comprised of three members in the HHS Faculty Committee for International Programs.
