Advice for Boilermakers:

When you look back at your experiences at Purdue, you’ll probably find the time went by very quickly.  So enjoy every minute.  Find what works best in balancing your extracurricular activities with academics and seek out resources!   Props to this quote:  “Don’t compare your successes with others and don’t chase anyone else’s dream but your own. We each have our own journeys in life, so just make sure yours counts!” – Anonymous

Fun Facts:

  • My husband, Ted, and I have five children (Jaime, Josh, Matt, Alaina, and Katelyn) between us.  We have six grandchildren (Madison, Shelby, Austin, JoJo, Sloane, and Quinn) and are expecting a new grandson (Lincoln) in December

  • Our family owns Wrede Rocks & Mulch in Lafayette and Wrede & Sons Excavating in Monticello.  My husband and his brothers transformed a sand pit in White County into a wetlands area with three ponds, a small orchard, a lodge, and a log cabin.  We love to spend time at “The Pitt” fishing, exploring on ATVs and golf carts, and visiting with family there

  • Our dog Kody, a great white Pyrenees and black lab mix, loves going fishing with us in the boat on Lake Shafer and Lake Freeman

  • We spend our holidays and vacations visiting family in Illinois, Indiana, and Florida
