The Robert L. Ringel Research Symposium

The Robert L. Ringel Research Symposium at Purdue University is an event showcasing high-quality student research. Utilizing poster presentations, a wide range of topics across the field of communication sciences and disorders are presented. Evidence-based practice to maximize patient outcomes is examined. Participants will learn to apply research findings to guide clinical decision-making in both speech-language pathology, as well as audiology.

ASHA CEUs available!                                   

General Information:

  • CEUs are now offered in half-hour increments.
  • 1 ASHA CEU = 1 hour of attendance (e.g., 0.05= .5 Hours, 0.15= 1.5 Hours).
  • Certificates of Attendance will be available via email to attendees following the end of the event.

Steps to Earn CEUs: 

  • Check in at the event welcome desk. A QR code will be provided to confirm your attendance and to collect your “Record of Sessions Attended Form” that will need to be filled out online in order to recieve CEUs.
  • Attend the poster sessions:During this time, at least one author of each poster will be scheduled to present their work and will be available to discuss their work and answer questions. Each poster counts for 15 minutes, even if attendees spend more time at a poster session. Attendees may claim up to 8 posters only if they attend the poster sessions during both 60-minute blocks. If they visit the posters at other times during the day, they will not be able to earn credit for posters since presenting authors will not be available to discuss their work.
    • Posters will be displayed on poster boards across the second and third floor hallways in Lyles-Porter Hall of Purdue University, where the symposium takes place.
  • Submit your completed “Record of Sessions Attended” form. Due by 4:00 p.m., Wednesday February 23rd.
