Financial Assistance
There are financial assistance options to help defray the costs of enrolling in a graduate program. These include Stafford loans, graduate PLUS loans, military programs and loans from private lenders. Through the myPurdue system, you can monitor your financial aid funding and make sure the proper payments are made in a timely fashion.

Admission decisions are based on individual experience and the applicant’s fit with the program.
To be considered for admission, students must submit a completed application accompanied by the following items:
- Professional resume.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
- Official transcripts from all universities attended, including transfer credits.
- Three letters of recommendation.
- Statement of purpose.*
- Personal history statement.
- A 500-word statement of purpose.
- An application fee of $60 ($75 for international students).
*When writing your statement of purpose, be sure to share information that will help reviewers understand your academic interests and objectives, assess your academic background, preparation and training, and determine if you are a good match for the program to which you are applying.

Application Tips and ChecklistThe GRE or GMAT exam is not required for admission. Applicants who have taken the GRE or GMAT exam may upload their scores into the online application system for consideration.
International Students
- English proficiency testing is required for international applicants. It will be waived for applicants who have received a baccalaureate, graduate or professional degree (within 36 months before admission), from a school where English is the primary language of instruction in a country/location where English is the native language. Non-native English speakers must submit TOEFL or IELTS test scores that are less than two years old.
- Documents required by country are listed on the Purdue Graduate School website. International students must also provide official transcripts from all universities attended in the original language as well as an English translation for transcripts and diplomas not in English. English translations must be certified by the college or university which issued it.
