Why Give?

Support for the Department of Public Health (PUBH) plays an important role in our progress and continuing success. Donor gifts help us develop future leaders in their professions and communities whether on campus, in our state, or around the world. Regardless of the size, donor gifts enrich student learning, enhance faculty research, and increase PUBH's competitive edge to attract the best students and faculty.

Please consider supporting one or more of our funding priorities:

Unrestricted Funding

Unrestricted funding enables innovation, fules growth and offers the flexibility to respond to pressing needs. Unrestricted support, administered by the Department, allow the Department of Public Health to respond to creative opportunities, urgent needs and emerging dreams.

Student Support Fund

Support for undergraduate public health students includes scholarships, a lifeline for those who require financial assistance in order to attend Purdue. Contributions also support undergraduate research and study abroad. Gifts of any amount will build the public health undergraduate scholarship fund and benefit students.

Financial support for graduate student education and living stipends provides a competitive advantage among our peer institutions. Exceptional graduate students are crucial to attracting high-profile faculty and research funding.

Faculty Support Fund

Endowed professorships represent a unique opportunity for donors to shape the future of Purdue's new Department of Public Health.

As the highest honor bestowed upon a faculty member, endowed professorships are crucial for recruiting and retaining high-quality, in demand public health faculty. Income generated from an endowed professorship cover part or all of a faculty member’s salary and are available to develop new research ideas, advance instructional work, and support opportunities for students to carry out research alongside the faculty member.

Glezen Endowment

Income from the Glezen Endowment supports student participation in academic conferences where they present posters and gain professional development. Established as an unrestricted account, the endowed fund also supports other initiatives determined by the Department head.
