Study Abroad

The study of human behavior is greatly enhanced by exposure to different people and cultures. Thus, we strongly encourage all psychological sciences majors to seriously consider spending a semester abroad. Depending on your program of study, spending your spring semester sophomore year or fall semester junior year might be just right for you!  Plan to attend the 2020 HHS Fair for Study Abroad and Intercultural Learning on January 29, 2020. More information can be found here.

To help ensure timely degree completion, our department has reviewed and pre-approved specific psychology course offerings at University College Dublin and National University of Singapore.  Moreover, the official national language and language of instruction is English at both universities, helping to make the transition to these different cultures relatively easy for most Purdue students. And attending either program is less expensive than you might have thought, particularly with current university financial incentives for students choosing to participate in a semster study abroad program. You can also apply for the Psychology Department's Fred and Dorine Santogrossi Study Abroad Scholarship.
