“What next? Graduate school options for psychology and related disciplines.”

Monday November 5 from 5:30-6:45PM in BRNG 2290

Are you interested in graduate school but not quite sure which path to take? In this workshop, Dr. Bridgette Tonnsen will provide concrete information about different graduate paths for psychology students, with particular focus on subfields that involve research and/or service delivery with humans (e.g. clinical, school, counseling, developmental, neuroscience). She will discuss topics such as (1) how each subfield is distinct, (2) how to decide between MA, PhD, and PsyD programs, (3) how to locate a potential mentor (for research-focused programs), (3) how different subfields balance research and clinical work, and (4) how to build a competitive application. Students will have ample opportunity to ask questions. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Please RSVP to Sara Ostheimer at saraost@purdue.edu by Friday November 2nd.
