Amanda started working at Hendricks Regional Health in the Emergency department when she became a registered nurse in 2004 and currently continues to practice there today. She joined the faculty at Purdue University in Fall 2017. Amanda’s passion is anything related to education. She describes herself as a “lifelong learner in the school of life”. Her professional goal is to help new students discover their own passion for nursing. Amanda’s primary research interest is in improving the precepting process for both nurses and nursing students.

Amanda will be married in the Fall of 2017. She enjoys reading, gaming, traveling, football, and spending time with her friends and family. She is the proud owner of one cantankerous cat named Wizard.
