Biography
Ann Loomis is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Undergraduate Program. Her research focus is on simulation and debriefing training. Her pedagogical approach includes active and experiential learning through which she challenges and motivates students to apply evidence-based solutions to didactic and clinical issues. Dr. Loomis’ commitment to innovation in teaching and learning was recognized through the support of an internal grant and the IMPACT funding award. This scholarship along with the Purdue Instructional Innovation internal grant, external teaching award, and Teaching for Tomorrow fellowship demonstrate excellence in the learning mission. Dr. Loomis has been recognized as an exemplary and inspirational leader and was the recent recipient of the Purdue University Early Career Teaching award in honor of her dedication to student excellence.
