Arianna LaCroix, assistant professor in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, collaborated with PhD student Emily (Sebranek) Lenz to develop an \u201cauditory attention task\u201d that can measure how people pay attention to sounds \u2014 both the ones they\u2019re trying to listen to and the ones that distract them.
