Practicing Mindfulness

Join us for a free session, every 20 minutes in the Purdue Recreation & Wellness Mindfulness Room.

Dr. Sandra Sydnor, associate professor of the School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, will discuss the science behind mindfulness meditation, demonstrate simple exercises participants can practice in their daily lives, and lead a guided meditation. Dr. Sydnor, a practitioner of mindfulness, researches and studies the impact of mindfulness meditation on student engagement and performance as well as its contribution to resilience.

This program is free and open to all. You do not need to be a member of Purdue Recreation & Wellness to participate. The Mindfulness Room is located in the Co-Rec Wellness Suite.
