CSR Scholarships for Current Students
Scholarships have been established specifically for students in the Division of Consumer Science. Most of these are awarded based on scholastic performance and need. They are managed through the College of Health and Human Sciences Office of Student Services.
Fashion Scholarship Fund
The Fashion Scholarship Fund invites students from their member colleges and universities to participate in their annual case study scholarship competition. Case study information is provided to students during the Spring semester each year, application materials are due in November and winners are announced in December.
The Fashion Scholarship Fund has released the 2022 Case Studies. This year, the scholarship award is $7,500 and will be awarded to approximately 200 students. This is open to all majors (you can take on the case study from a design, marketing, merchandising, or supply chain management angle). There can be multiple awardees from the same university. If you are a Top Four Finalist, you will receive an additional $5,000! And the top recipient will receive a second $5,000 award for a total award of $17,500. To qualify, you must have a 3.2 GPA and be a sophomore standing or higher (December 2021 graduates are not eligible this year) in any major. Here are the details. The actual case studies are attached as PDFs:
THE CASE STUDY CHALLENGE:

- Merchandising: Create an online and in-store merchandising campaign that appeals to consumers in this changing retail environment while maintaining brand identity and authenticity. (A Six-Month Plan template has been included for this case study)
- Marketing Analytics: Develop an innovative marketing strategy for a brand of your choice, analyzing its current marketing and communications, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing new approaches.
- Supply Chain: Explore strategies to introduce greater flexibility in the distribution network and assortment planning process for a mono-brand.
