Welcome to the White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and Division of Consumer Science
White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality & Tourism Management's Career Center provides services for HTM/CSR undergraduates, graduate students, alumni & company recruiters. The HTM Career Center serves as a liaison between hospitality company representatives, students and the School. During the academic year, approximately 400+ students use the services of the HTM Career Center to obtain permanent employment and internships in the hospitality industry. Employers enjoy visiting campus to meet and interview our well-prepared and talented students.
The center provides the following services:
- Sponsor a career fair.
- Strongly recommend students to register to our HTM/CSR List Serve to receive emails when employers are looking to fill internships or full/time employment, etc.
- Coordinates interviewing schedules between students and companies recruiting
- Presents a mandatory orientation to students each semester explaining departmental requirement regarding internships
- Collects and keeps student resumes on file
- Plans recruiting company information sessions prior to interviewing
- Sends resumes to companies for pre-screening
- Assist with scheduling class presentations by recruiters for faculty
- Surveys recruiters concerning student performance each school semester
