HTM 399, Management in Senior Living, Course Description
This course provides a comprehensive overview of the senior living industry. Essential topics include the industry’s evolution, current issues, and future trends; overview of operational and functional areas of retirement and senior living communities and comparison to other hospitality, health, and wellness organizations; and strategies for creating a culture of service excellence and wellbeing for residents and staff. Students will gain insights from guest speakers working in senior living and first-hand industry knowledge by shadowing professionals and interacting with residents in retirement and senior living communities.Scholarships:
