HHS Poster Printing

The College of Health and Human Sciences maintains a large-format plotter for the use of the College and its Units. Please download, fill out, and attach this form and send it to hhsposter@purdue.edu along with your poster file.

We can no longer accept requests sent directly to those that support the plotter. Requests must go through the HHSposter ticketing system to ensure timeliness and a balanced division of labor.

Requests:

  • There may be up to a two business day turn around for poster printings.
  • If your poster is one of many in a large group (e.g. conferences, final presentation, sponsored events), we prefer a two week advance noticed in order to have the necessary supplies on hand.

With notification, we do give preferential treatment to posters part of that large batch by placing them in front of the printing queue over other posters that may be part of different large batch that did not give us advance warning.   To keep costs low, our overhead consists of enough raw material to print one academic poster session and a hand-full of one-off poster requests. We do not have enough material to print two large academic posters sessions, and cannot guarantee supplies to come in before the two business day turn around.

  • It is important to keep in mind the timeline to request printing. Your request may be rejected or given a substitute paper choice if you request a rush job.
  • Make sure that the pdf you are attaching to the email is sized in the dimensions you want it printed. Posters cannot be smaller than 16 x 20 inches (36 ui), and cannot exceed 36 x 56 inches (92 ui). Posters that are below or over the limitations will have their requests rejected.

Please Note:

  • Some conferences have strict guidelines about poster dimensions and paper requirements. It may be that the guidelines make the poster too large for the plotter to print.
  • Your department/unit may have strict conference poster layout guidelines, please verify that you are using the correct one to best represent your department/unit.
  • Purdue has strict color branding and use of logos directions, please check Marketing and Media’s website for more details.
