Center for the Study of Lodging Operations

The mission of the Center for the Study of Lodging Operations is to serve the hotel industry and related organizations by providing up-to-date and timely information as well as quality research related to lodging operations of all types. This includes hotels, timeshares, resorts, casino hotels, bed and breakfast operations, and assisted living facilities.

The CFSLO seeks to advance the hotel industry at the local, national, and international level through the use of basic and applied research to deal with industry issues and challenges. We do this through the expertise of our world-renowned staff members and by providing hospitality students with opportunities to develop their skills. Our vision is to be the leading source of high quality and value-added research to the lodging industry.

We have undertaken a re-launch of the center for 2009. We are very excited about our new staff members and the many new research and consulting opportunities that are on the horizon. The challenges that are affecting the hotel industry have an impact on the overall economy and are important to everyone. We look forward to working with the hotel industry in addressing these industry issues, and we seek new research partners in these endeavors.
