Welcome to the White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr.
School of Hospitality and Tourism Management

The White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM), along with its Division of Consumer Science, is widely known for its outstanding programs in hospitality and tourism management, retail management, selling and sales management, and financial counseling and planning.

HTM faculty bring years of industry experience to the classroom and continuously seek new curricular enhancements and opportunities for students in the field. Our undergraduate programs offer hands-on learning in a myriad of industries and include internships in Indiana, throughout the United States, and around the world. Our top-ranking, highly customized, research-based MS and PhD programs allow students to explore areas of interest in consumer behavior, family and consumer economics, and hospitality and tourism management.

The school is named in honor of White Lodging’s founder and CEO, Bruce White, and his family for their longstanding financial and in-kind support of Purdue University. At the request of Mr. White, the school’s name also honors the career and contributions of J.W. “Bill” Marriott, Jr., executive chairman and chairman of the board of Marriott International.
