HK Graduate Student Grants & Scholarships
Donald L. Corrigan Professional Development Grant
The Corrigan Grant program was established by the department in 2001 in honor of Dr. Don Corrigan, a Professor Emeritus in Exercise Physiology and former department head. The grants assist HK graduate students primarily to support travel to professional meetings. In most cases the award limit for Corrigan Grants is $300; however, the amount available for any single award depends on the quality and quantity of applications received.
HK graduate students receive a call for applications (in conjunction with the Hanson Award) in February with March due date. A committee of HK faculty select award recipient(s).

Templin Graduate Student Research Award
The Templin Graduate Student Research Award was endowed by Dr. Thomas Templin and Mrs. Sarah Templin in memory of Tom’s parents. The award provides one or more scholarships to graduate students in the Department of Health and Kinesiology to support graduate research and/or travel activities. The amount available for any single award depends on the quality and quantity of applications received.
HK graduate students receive a call for applications in early Spring. Application materials are due in March. A committee of HK faculty select award recipient(s). Recipients are acknowledged at the spring HK Department Awards Reception.
