Community Engagement

At Purdue University, we are proud to work with communities to improve lives through informing healthy behavioral choices including the important role of physical activity in achieving optimum health. Our outreach programs work to partner with individuals and organizations to build the foundation for a healthy and productive life.

A.H. Ismail Center for Health, Exercise and Nutrition

Optimum health requires being physically active. The Ismail Center provides individuals a wellness center for achieving and maintaining optimum health and the local community a resource for increasing physical activity and exercise participation.

Purdue Athletes Life Success (PALS) Program

PALS is a youth summer program dedicated to creating an environment that allows each child to grow and become the best version of themselves. The PALS program strives to provide a climate that focuses on personal improvement and building positive relationships with peers and adults.

Physical Education (PE) Home School Program

Children need daily physical activity. The PE Home School Program emphasizes fun physical activity with a concentration on fundamental skills, fitness, and activities that provide a foundation for physical activity and wellness.
