American Kinesiology Association’s (AKA) Spring Webinar

View the American Kinesiology Association’s (AKA) spring webinar on the topic of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Dr. Russell talks about how we view these terms and what makes them important, but also separate from each other. Additionally, he addresses how they are portrayed and viewed in AKA’s Inclusive Excellence award, an annual award acknowledging kinesiology departments that are making strides in these areas. Additionally, Dr. Russell discusses how both higher education and the field of Kinesiology are discussing DEI and where we might be more attentive. He also discusses how the current issues in the country create additional problems for our students and how we might address them. Moreover, he discusses steps kinesiology departments can take to create environments that are more inclusive.
