Chad Carroll

Research Interests

The long-term goal of our research program is to delineate the mechanisms contributing to the development of tendinopathies in diabetics and older adults. We are specifically interested in the role of advance glycation end-products in the pathophysiology of tendinopathies and the role of estrogen in maintaining the tendon extracellular matrix. Our laboratory uses human, rodent, and cell culture models to address our research goals in a bench-to-bedside manner.
