What drives employers to implement policies supporting leaves, flexible work arrangements, and dependent care beyond what is mandated: the economy, or institutional pressures? In one of the first studies to examine interaction effects between country- and employer-level level variables, Dr. Ollier-Malaterre’s 2014 Kanter Award Winning research examines the role of public policies, unemployment rates, and the cultural centrality of work in employers’ adoption of work-life policies, and explores which types of employers are most sensitive to these country-level factors.
The Kanter Lecture Series is free and open to the public.
