Graduate students – Apply to 2021 Levien Family Policy Internship and Scholarship by March 5th

Graduate students interested in family policy and research are encouraged to apply to the Center for Families Levien Family Policy Internship and Scholarship. The deadline to apply is March 5, 2021.

The intern will work with Center for Families Director, Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth, and Family Policy Scholar, Rob Duncan, to plan and conduct research for the 24th Indiana Family Impact Seminars and Family Impact Institute, to take place in the Fall of 2021.

Interns will have the opportunity to engage directly with policy makers and develop skills that address bridging the gap between research and policy. Along with this internship, recipients will receive the Levien Scholarship of $1000, which was created to support students committed to fostering family values and bettering families.

The Center for Families presents annual Indiana Family Impact Seminars, sponsored by the Indiana Consortium of Family Organizations (COFO) which is comprised of organizations vested in promoting a family perspective in public policies and programs to enhance the well-being of Hoosier families. These annual seminars serve to educate state legislators and policymakers about the implications for families of policy issues, by providing objective, non-partisan information on current issues.

This scholarship is possible due to the generosity of Betty Levien Krejci.
