Travis D. Tester
Director of Donor Relations and Events
A North Carolina native, Travis graduated from Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Music Industry Studies with a concentration in event planning and a minor in business administration. Prior to joining the Advancement Office in the College of Health and Human Sciences, he worked for the not-for-profit, Indianapolis-based Music for All, Inc. (formerly Bands of America) for eight years. While at Music for All he held positions as event intern and event coordinator before being promoted to manager of participant relations.
Travis brings years of experience in producing national events, recruiting and managing volunteers, and working with students and educational programming. His position in HHS fulfills his goal to work at a university — he strongly believes in the mission of higher education! He is excited to be part of the Purdue family and is eager to work with HHS faculty, students, alumni and donors.
Travis believes in giving back to his community by volunteering for various organizations around Indiana. He is also active in his church. An avid musician who performs regularly, he plays French horn and is also a vocalist. Travis serves on two national boards and he looks forward to serving on various committees at Purdue University.
