James Priest

Biography

Jim currently serves as a Director in the Office of Foundation Relations with responsibility for private foundation fundraising for academic units across campus, including the College of Health and Human Sciences. Jim served as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations in the College of Health and Human Sciences starting in 2016. Before coming to HHS, he was the Director of Corporate Relations at the Purdue Alumni Association. Jim spent more than 10 years working in the newspaper industry, first as a journalist and later as advertising director at the Purdue Exponent.

Jim, a U.S. Army veteran, is active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors at Food Finders Food Bank and Battle Ground Summer Recreation. He holds a B.A. in history from Purdue’s College of Liberal Arts, and has a deep sense of loyalty to and pride in the University. His wife, Jennifer, holds a Pharmacy degree from Purdue. They live in Battle Ground, Ind. and have two children, Miles and Ella.
