Saikat Ghosh-Roy

Saikat Ghosh Roy is a PhD student in Department of Consumer Science, working under Dr. Sugato Chakravarty. His research interest currently involves corporate finance, studying the role of board of directors and CEO. How they impact firm performance.

He holds a Post-Graduation Diploma in Finance and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from India. Prior to joining Purdue Saikat had three years of industry experience. Two of which as a software engineer in India’s largest IT firm Tata Consultancy Services. He also worked for a year as a corporate banking manager in Axis bank, which is the third largest private bank of India. He did an internship at Reserve Bank of India. He has couple of publications on non-performing loans and export-exchange rate elasticity. Apart from research, Saikat’s interests include cooking and travelling to new places.
