Susan Owens

Susan joined the Consumer Science Department in August of 2007. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor teaching in the Apparel Design program. Her responsibilities include teaching basic Apparel Assembly, Patternmaking and Draping, and Apparel Art and Design. Prior to joining the faculty at Purdue, Susan was an Assistant Professor in the Consumer and Family Science department of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and Costume Mistress for Butler Ballet in the Jordan College of Fine Art of Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Susan is a graduate of the Departments of Consumer Sciences and Art of Purdue University (1994) and completed her M.A. in Fine Art at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana (2002). Susan is also a member of the International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA).
