The Consortium's Mission

Mapping the evidence for inclusive individuals, organizations, and societies

Considered a fundamental psychological need, feeling included and a sense of belonging is at the heart of human thriving. Telling the narrative of diversity, equity and inclusion requires an intentional and informed bridging of science, practices, and policies. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Science Consortium serves this goal by providing a multidisciplinary platform to enhance the science of diversity, equity, and inclusion science and connect scholars of diverse backgrounds. Consortium meetings provide a research hub to launch new ideas, and produce evidence and scholarship that can inform practices and policies. Our goal is to function as "honest brokers" of the conditions that relate to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The Consortium capitalizes on Purdue University's vast wealth of scholars and existing areas of strength. We are a multi-disciplinary team of members from across departments of the College of HHS and beyond. Together, we are sharpening the information that can be trusted in moving this important issue forward.
