Real-World Training for Students
Hall of Music Productions has a long-standing tradition of involving students in the events we produce. We are a hands-on learning center for the education and enlightenment of students in the entertainment technology and production support industry, offering some unique opportunities to interact with both Purdue’s own staff as well as members of the broader events production community who visit campus.
Hall of Music Productions actively trains students to help support its mission to provide production services for functions both on and off campus.
Students are exposed to the best professional equipment and instruction through their experiences with Hall of Music Productions and the contacts instructors have in the entertainment industry.
Students work with equipment, first on campus, and later, once they have gained the requisite knowledge and skills, to off campus at professional events. Students have interned at the Country Music Association’s (CMA) Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee. They have covered major events, including the Dali Lama’s visit to Purdue and the papal mass of Pope Benedict XVI in New York City.
