Why did you choose Purdue?
Purdue is one of the top 10 most innovative universities in the U.S.

Please briefly describe your research.
My research focuses on detection of malware in encrypted network traffic using deep learning technique

How did you decide what to study?
My decision to study Computer and Information Technology is informed by my passion for computing and job prospects in this field.

What was your process for selecting a graduate school? My career goal is to work in industry, and this forms the basis for my graduate school selection. I researched various degree programs and options in my area of study and then narrowed it down to the one that suited my career goal. I also considered availability of funding for such an option and networked with faculty in those fields.

What is your favorite fact about Purdue?
Purdue university airport is the first university-owned airport in the US.

Where do you spend most of your time on campus?
I spend most of my time in the classroom reading and at the graduate school where I work as a graduate assistant.

How did you decide where to live?
Though distance from school is not usually an issue as you can connect with City Bus to school from anywhere, my preference is a walkable distance from school, and I was able to get one close to school through property management companies’ websites.

What’s one thing prospective students from your Nigeria should know about Purdue?
Purdue is rich in cultural diversity. It offers a very friendly and welcoming environment with both faculty and students always eager to help.

How do you keep yourself organized?
I prioritize my activities based on importance and deadlines. I have a diary where I document my schedule and I also set reminders.

What are you hoping to do after you graduate from Purdue?
I hope to start my optional practical training (OPT) in one of the leading Tech companies.
