Global Ambassador: Ed (Audai) Theinat
Ed focuses on the seismic waves effect on underground structures, like tunnels and subways. He is trying to investigate the interaction between the ground and these structures in an attempt to analyze the response to earthquake motions, primarily, the surface waves that moves parallel to the surface.

Why Purdue?
Purdue professors are experts in their fields. The study environment is great. The reputation and the connection to the outside world are noticeable.
Career goal?
A distinguished professor with excellent contributions to humanity. I like teaching too and interaction with the students.
Favorite fact about Purdue?
Civil Engineering is ranked as number one according to Shangahai ranking.
How do you recharge physically and/or mentally
Meditation. I imagine the whole universe in my head, flying in the whole space and then gets closer to the earth, to the place where I am. It gives me energy.
What’s your best time-saving shortcut or life hack?
I do my tasks as soon as I get them. I prioritize and I plan ahead of time with a to-do list in my pocket.
What apps, software, or tools can't you live without?
Applications that help me to keep in touch with my family like Skype.
What's your workspace setup like?
I have an office in HAMP hall of civil engineering. The office is shared with my friends. I have a big monitor and it helps me a lot with my simulations.
What's your favorite to-do list manager?
I use pencil and paper. I like to tear the paper and start a new one the next day.
What are you currently reading, or what is the last thing you read (aside from academic reading)?
I prefer to read life hacks, technology websites. They make our life easier. I like to see the real world around me by reading more about it, people news, hacks, technology, space, etc.
What's your sleep routine like?
Sleep early and get up early.
