The Graduate School's Office of Professional Development provides free services and programs to help graduate students navigate and conquer the graduate school experience and reach academic, professional, and career goals. Our mission is to provide graduate students with the resources they need to succeed through workshops, online modules, personal resume reviews, competitions, and an active social media community.
Unique programming is also offered for postdoctoral trainees, or postdocs. This programming is designed to enhance and enrich the postdoc experience while preparing trainees for future career opportunities.
For assistance in career exploration and planning for PhD students and postdoctoral scholars in the humanities and social sciences, please visit the career exploration and planning tool ImaginePhD. For graduate students interested in nonacademic careers, please visit our online career development platform, Aurora by Beyond the Professoriate. This platform features over 80 hours of videos, interviews, and workshops designed to help you explore and prepare for academic and non-academic positions.
