Graduate School staff members awarded professional development grants

Three Graduate School staff members were awarded professional development grants by Purdue’s Management and Professional Staff Advisory Committee (MaPAC).

The committee awards grants up to $750 twice a year to management and professional staff members. For the fall application cycle, the committee reviewed 42 eligible applications and selected 29 winners, 3 of which were from The Graduate School.

Nicole Barr, graduate records manager, Office of Graduate Records, will use the grant toward a certificate program through Purdue Global. She will complete the program in computer forensics in January and plans to pursue another certificate in programming and software development beginning in February.

Amy Ledman, graduate program specialist, Office of Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs, will use the grant toward a Master of Science in Higher Education through Purdue Global. She expects to graduate in June 2021.

Lindsey Springer, graduate program specialist, Office of Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs, will use the grant toward a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology through Purdue Global. She expects to graduate in December 2021.
